1988 the year of "flight" as i i call it, Jordan and Wilkins battled it out for a 147-145 final score in the Slam dunk contest. Jordan won with his re-make of Dr. J's free throw line dunk and wowed the crowd for a perfect score as he beat Wilkins two handed pump windmill dunk that only produced a score of 45 points. Why so much talk about this dunk contest? well the Jordan III's which release Jan 22, are the Jordan's he wore as he took flight from the free throw line. Back from a 1994 and 2003 hiatus the Jordan 3's are probably gonna fly off the shelf quickly as these are one of the most popular pair of J's to be created. i love the elephant/cement print that comes on this issue but also how you can wear these with pretty much anything due to the casualness of the shoe. still a Jordan 4 cement fan, but i could see these in my closet this year!
